Sleep

Eye drifting closed,
Mind wandering off
To a place where it's silent,
Warm, secure, and dark
Deep inside myself
Where everything is at peace
And where I can relax
With my burdens released.
Mouth curled in a smile
My arms tight around him
Head laid upon his chest
With the lights very dim.
A single kiss is exchanged
As his arms go tight around me
Comforted by his presence
This is the way it should be.
As my eyes drift closed
And my mind wanders off
To a place, and it's just
Me and him, in the dark.
